Traveling on the LIAT network is considered International travel. All customers are required to present proof of identity such as:
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC NATIONALS VISA REQUIREMENT
Customers originating from the Dominican Republic who wish to travel to the Commonwealth of Dominica are reminded that a Visa is required for entry into that island. Please be advised that passengers who are not in possession of this document will be denied entry.
HAITIAN AND DOMINICAN REPUBLIC NATIONALS REQUIRE TRANSIT VISAS FOR ANTIGUA
Haitian and Dominican Republic Nationals must obtain a transit visa when transiting Antigua and Barbuda. This position applies even where a passenger is transiting for less than 24 hours. There is no need for a transit visa where a passenger is continuing on the same carrier and/or is transiting without going through Immigration. Persons can visit www.immigration.gov.ag to obtain their transit visas.
U.S. VISA WAIVER REQUIREMENT
LIAT advises its customers that there are now additional requirements to travel visa-free to the United States. Nationals of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries need an electronic travel authorisation (ESTA) before travelling to the United States. Effective 1 April 2016, customers must have an e-passport to use the Visa Waiver Programme. Failure to hold this type of passport will result in the customer being refused entry. The application requires basic biographical and travel information to be entered. Passengers will also need to fill out a green I-94W form upon arrival in the U.S.
Nationals of Visa Waiver Program countries will still be eligible to travel without a visa but will have to obtain an approved ESTA prior to travel to the United States. Following is the list of countries which participate in the Visa Waiver Program:
Applications may be submitted at any time prior to travel however the Department of Homeland Security recommends that travel authorization applications be submitted at least 72 hours prior to travel. Unless revoked, travel authorizations are valid for two years from the date of authorization, or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
The on-line ESTA application can be found at https://www.cbp.gov/travel/international-visitors/esta
Detailed help is outlined at: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/WebHelp/ESTA_Screen-Level_Online_Help_1.htm
As mandated by the US authorities, each passenger entering the United States is required to provide the airline with advance passenger information which includes details such as your passport, country of residence and address of your first night’s accommodation, whether you are staying in a hotel or with friends and family.
