Check-in closes forty-five (45) minutes before departure.
LIAT reserves the right to cancel the reservations of any passenger who does not check-in at least forty-five minutes (45) prior to the scheduled or posted departure time of the flight.
When making bookings passengers are responsible for allowing adequate time for baggage collection and rechecking if connecting to another carrier. We recommend at least 150 minutes between international connecting flights.
Passengers who have checked-in for a flight and have received a boarding pass must present themselves at the departure gate and be ready to board their flight no later than thirty (30) minutes prior to departure. Passengers not in the boarding area by this specified time prior to scheduled departure are subject to seat cancellation.
Online Check In
LIAT now offers its customers the ability to check in online if they are travelling with hand baggage only.
The service is available for customers departing on LIAT from the following destinations:Antigua, Barbados, Guadeloupe, Grenada, Martinique, Puerto Rico, St Kitts, St Lucia, St Maarten and Trinidad.
Online check in begins 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time and ends two hours before the scheduled departure of the flight. Seat numbers will be assigned automatically during the online check-in process.
Customers who check in online are advised to come to the airport at least one hour prior to the scheduled departure of their flight, proceed through government formalities and be in the boarding area at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of their flight.
Customers must in their possession an emigration form as well as their printed boarding pass to go through Security and to present to the Gate Agent. Passengers who do not hold an emigration form will be required to collect one from the LIAT check in desk first. If the person is travelling with an infant, the infant information will appear on the adult’s boarding pass in addition a separate boarding pass will be printed for the infant.
Many countries within the Caribbean, and the rest of the world, have specific requirements for entry to their country. Customers must hold a return ticket to their country of citizenship/residency and in some cases are required to hold insurance for the duration of the visit. Other countries require visas to be obtained prior to travel. Failure to meet these requirements may result in denied boarding. Please check you have the necessary documents prior to travel.
Passengers requiring special attention such as: Unaccompanied Minors, those with a medical condition, and persons travelling with a service animal will not be allowed to check-in online, as they need to see a LIAT representative before a boarding pass can be issued. Groups of 10 or more are also not allowed to check-in online.
