ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, December 02, 2010 – The management of LIAT (1974) Limited wishes to inform that LI 362 travelling from Antigua to San Juan on Thursday 2nd December 2010, with 24 passengers on board, returned to the V.C. Bird International Airport shortly after take-off, after a main wheel failure.
As a precautionary measure, emergency services were on standby and the landing was uneventful with no injury to the passengers.
All of the affected passengers will be accommodated on other LIAT services.
The aircraft is being examined by the company’s maintenance department and will undergo the various checks stipulated by the manufacturer before it is returned to service.
