Citizens of Trinidad and Tobago do not require a short stay visa for short stay visits (90 days or less per 6-month period) to the French Overseas Departments of Guadeloupe [PTP] (includes Marie Galante, la Désirade and les Saintes) and [FDF] Martinique with effect from December 18, 2009.
***Please note that the visa exemption does not apply to the French Overseas Collectivities of Saint Barthélemy or Saint Martin, which were previously a part of the French Overseas Department of Guadeloupe. Therefore, a short stay visa valid for the French Overseas Departments of the Americas (Départements Français d’Amérique) is required for travel to these destinations.***
WARNING: Successful visa applicants are strongly advised to travel with photocopies of the supporting documents submitted when applying for a visa, since these documents may be requested by an Immigration Officer at the border of entry.
Additionally the travelling public must show upon check-in, that they are holding :
A valid passport
A proof of onward or return ticket
A lodging certificate or a confirmed hotel booking
Travel insurance
Sufficient funds for financial support for the duration of their stay
